The Strength Shop Extension Kits allow you to upgrade your existing Adjustable Dumbbells to a higher weight range — without replacing the handles or starting from scratch.

Each kit includes precisely the components required to reach the next configuration. The adjustment mechanism, balance, and feel remain exactly the same: only the maximum capacity increases.

All kits are fully compatible with the Strength Shop Adjustable Dumbbell system.

Upgrade Options

  • 20 kg to 36 kg – Increases a 20 kg dumbbell set up to a 36 kg set (Contents: 16 × 2 kg plates)
  • 20 kg to 49 kg – Increases a 20 kg dumbbell set up to a 49 kg set (Contents: 28 × 2 kg plates, 2 × pair of long bolts 1.5 kg)
  • 36 kg to 65 kg – Increases a 36 kg dumbbell set up to a 65 kg set (Contents: 28 × 2 kg plates, 2 × pair of long bolts 1.5 kg)
  • 20 kg to 65 kg – Increases a 20 kg dumbbell set up to a 65 kg set (Contents: 44 × 2 kg plates, 2 × pair of long bolts 1.5 kg)

How does the adjustment system work?

Loosen the locking screw slightly (no tools needed), slide the plate, and re-secure -its super easy to switch between loads.

What are the adjustment increments?

The dumbbells use 1 kg and 2 kg plates on each side. Since both sides must be loaded equally, the total weight changes in 2 kg or 4 kg increments.

Do I need a special tray or base?

No. The dumbbells can be used and stored directly on the floor.

Are the handles stainless or chrome-plated?

They are chrome-plated steel, combining corrosion resistance with a premium finish.

Are they suitable for heavy pressing and pulling movements?

Yes. The design provides the same balance and feel as a fixed dumbbell, suitable for pressing, rows, curls, and accessory lifts.

Can I upgrade my dumbbells in the future?

Yes. We will add individual components soon, so you can start with any set, such as the 20 kg version, and later expand to a heavier range by purchasing additional weight plates separately.
